In the 1992 NAFTA accord, the United States promised to open its borders to Mexican trucks by January 2000. The United States has failed to comply with that promise. Maney & Associates PC, along with a team of lawyers, initiated the arbitration against the United States for the damage incurred by the Mexican trucking industry, which is represented through two trade organizations-CANACAR and CONATRAM. The arbitration is to be conducted pursuant to NAFTA Chapter 11, which sets forth investor treaty rights.
