The United Mexican States

Mark Maney has represented the United Mexican States in a number of actions, including in one of the most politically charged matters in recent memory-the Pemexgate scandal. Pemexgate involved allegations that the then-ruling political party in Mexico-the PRI-had embezzled 1.5 billion pesos from Pemex for its presidential campaign chest. Ultimately, more than $40 million (US) was traced to a New York bank account. Mark Maney represented the nation's interests in successfully returning those funds to the public fisc.
